"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it." -- George Bernard Shaw
* THR413 Playscript Analysis Fall 2006
If you read my writing pages, or Writer page, you maybe understand, why I write plays now only occasionally. The plays, like everything in literature, are the words. Of course, you can master it and write about anything, but the real masters alway start from the new visions. And then they are looking for new forms to express their NEW feelings. This new dramatic sense of the world gives birth to all great playwrights. The master-pieces are the record of the dramatic evolution of the humankind in dramatic forms. We are new and we are the same -- a paradox? If you like it, you like theatre. Write. Write about what you know, you are NEW. See how they did, the masters. I always thought the giants ended with Beckett and no great drama can be written anymore (you maybe heard the same discussions about the Enf of Book). But what do I know? Maybe this Virtual Theatre will bring the new technology to express our new feelings... 2004: Summary![]() Questions![]() NotesTheatre Books Master-Page * ...

I borrowed this term "SCRIPTease" from one of the online playwrighting workshops. Listen, nothing serious could come from the web, the Net is a teaser. Write on paper, work with the printed words. Web is only for dissimination of knowledge.[ updates -- 2005 ]Do it alone. When you got enough to have a staged-reading, get the script to your friends-actors, or directors. Let them deal with your text. You watch.
Web is a giant advertizing machine. Sure, you can post your play or scenes, but this is only samples, my friends. Don't hold your breath. Don't wait. Keep working.
And be pantient with yourself and the world.
